An overview of the CompaRNA web site:

  • Methods
  • Provides a description of methods which are tested in the CompaRNA server. These are 35 methods available as standalone programs and 9 as web servers.

  • Datasets
  • PDB and RNAstrand datasets (including predicted RNA secondary structures) used for benchmarking methods predicting RNA 2D structure.

  • Rankings
  • Contains performance rankings of methods predicting RNA secondary structure. Scores, which allow for creating rankings (Matthews correlation coefficient, sensitivity and Positive Predictive Value), are calculated by comparing predictions of RNA secondary structure with reference RNA secondary structures. The reference RNA structures extracted from the PBD database can be accessed from the main page (Home -> Reference RNA structures) or directly from here using the links below:
Reference RNA structures from the latest update of PDB database
All reference RNA structures collected by CompaRNA

Both the PDB and RNAstrand datasets can be also found in Datasets section.

  • FAQ
  • Provides answers to 12 commonly asked questions concerning the CompaRNA server.

  • Contact us
  • Contains names, e-mail addresses and affiliations of all authors of the CompaRNA server. It also contains an e-mail form, which sends e-mails directly to the CompaRNA maintainer.

  • RSS feeds
  • RSS feeds are used to publish PDB ids of the latest RNA chains extracted from the PDB database used as reference in benchmarking RNA 2D structure prediction methods.

If you encounter any problems associated with using CompaRNA, would like to ask a question about the server’s functionality or would like to add your own method predicting RNA structure to the CompaRNA server, please contact us.
