Cytoplasmic. Formation of pseudouridine 35 in tRNA in yeast as well as in Archaea is intron dependent. In yeast it also catalyzes formation of pseudouridine in U2 snRNA: position 35 in modified constitutively while position 56 only under stress conditions .
